Why Do I Write This Stuff?
“If the desire to write is not accompanied by actual writing, then the desire is not to write.” Hugh Prather I developed a pretty good writing discipline when I was writing monologue jokes for Jay Leno. And I learned it was better to write badly than not write at all. I’ve been trying to figure out why I’ve been writing this stuff down. I think some of it is my grandkids. Hopefully ,some of these stories will give them a bit more insight into what I was like after I’m gone. And I hope they will be entertained by some of these stories that involved their Granddaddy. Reaching your mid sixties gives you that kind of perspective. And I guess I have a strong desire to put on paper the stories I have been telling for a while now.
